Ferragamo’s popularity in Asia drives revenue rise

Italian footwear company Salvatore Ferragamo has said strong sales in China has driven its revenue increase of 10% and net profit rise of 13% for the first half.

It recorded €722 million in revenues and €90 million in profit.

The Asia Pacific area was top market in terms of revenues, increasing by 7%. In particular the retail channel in China recorded a growth of 17%, while trends in Hong Kong and Macao deteriorated in 2Q 2015.

Europe posted an increase in revenues of 8% but was negatively impacted by the geopolitical tensions in Eastern Europe and Greece.

North America recorded an increase of 16%, while handbags and leather accessories also grew 16%.
