Harrods creates Shoe Heaven on the fifth floor
London department store Harrods has followed in the footsteps of rival Selfridges and opened a new space dedicated to footwear.

Located on the fifth floor, the new specially designed, art-deco inspired sales area is called Shoe Heaven.

It comprises individual boutiques for 17 of the biggest shoe business names, including Tod’s,   Chanel, Dior, Christian Louboutin, Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Prada, Jimmy Choo, Salvatore Ferragamo and Gucci. In all, collections from more than 50 leading designers and brands are on sale.

A select number of designers, including Giuseppe Zanotti and Jimmy Choo, have each designed a special shoe to mark the opening of the Harrods Shoe Heaven. These designs form a collection of their own, called Silver Lining.

At the time of the opening in mid-August, Harrods’ fashion director, Helen David, said: “With shoes becoming an increasingly important part of the way a woman dresses, and indeed a key part of our business, we are creating a truly fabulous shoe destination in Harrods, to celebrate this.”
