23/03/2018
Footwear group Caleres has reported consolidated sales of just under $2.8 billion in 2017, an increase of 8% compared to the previous year.

This figure included revenue from the Allen Edmonds brand. Caleres completed the acquisition of the high-end men’s footwear brand in December 2016.

The group’s brand portfolio, which as well as Allen Edmonds includes brands like Sam Edelman, Diane von Furstenberg and Dr Scholl’s Shoes, saw its revenue increase 16% year on year to $1.1 billion.

Revenue from Caleres’ US discount retail chain Famous Footwear was $1.6 billion, up 3% compared to 2016.

“Our success in 2017 is reflective of the foundational strength of our diversified portfolio of brands and is directly attributable to our ability to move to where the consumer is going,” said Diane Sullivan, Caleres president and CEO.
