Kenneth Cole may start making shoes in Mexico

Reports in the Mexican press in December suggested that footwear and fashion brand Kenneth Cole is considering manufacturing some of its shoes in the state of Guanajuato.

According to a local newspaper, some of the company’s executives visited the state capital León during the August 2017 edition of the Sapica footwear and leathergoods exhibition and selected a number of manufacturing partners. 

If the project comes to fruition, these Mexican companies would begin manufacturing shoes for Kenneth Cole in 2018. It has been suggested that as many as 250,000 pairs could be made in Guanajuato.
