Jihua 3515 inaugurates shoe research centre
                        Jihua 3515, a manufacturer of leather shoes based in the city of Luohe, in China’s Henan province, unveiled a new footwear research institute on May 30.
The inauguration ceremony was well-attended by guests including Chinese Academy of Engineering academician, Sichuan University professor and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference standing committee member, Shi Bi, in addition to high-ranking members of the local mayor’s office and other prominent administrators, reports said.
Several attendees later toured the on-site testing and digital modelling and simulation facilities, viewed a selection of finished products and were able to learn more about the organisation’s development goals.
According to the city’s administration, citing local media, the institute staged its first-ever functional footwear innovation forum between May 29 and 31.
Founded in 1951, Jihua 3515 specialises in the manufacture of safety and work footwear, sports and outdoor shoes, formal styles and more. It has an annual capacity of more than 10 million pairs of shoes.
