China International Shoes Fashion Week concludes

The city of Wenzhou in China’s Zhejiang province played host to China International Shoes Fashion Week over five days in late February, a follow-up to the event’s inaugural edition last July. 

Supported by Wenzhou Shoe and Leather Industry Association, alongside the people’s government of Yongjia county in Wenzhou, 100-plus footwear manufacturers hailing from shoe-making clusters such as Guangzhou, Fujian, Chengdu, Danyang, Taizhou and Wenzhou itself attended, local media said. 

Orders placed over the five-day period exceeded $72 million, the equivalent of ¥500 million, reports added. Those not able to attend in person could participate digitally, including in live influencer broadcasts from the event. 

The annual event was once again held at Valimart Industrial Intelligence Park, a 60,000-square-metre complex built on the site of a former factory.
