The president of the Association of Industrial Suppliers of Mexico (Apimex), which covers footwear and leather, has been re-elected for another term.

Daniel Tavarez Romero said he wants to involve more young people in the association and is keen to add second and third-generation entrepreneurs.

He added that since his election two years ago, Anpic, the Leon-based leather and footwear show, has grown by 10% and “finances are healthy”.

Members of the footwear suppliers’ association have been invited to join many councils, he said, and are now well-known by the public.
