CICEG appoints new president

CICEG, the main footwear industry body in Guanajuato, has a new president. 

Alfredo Padilla Villalpando took over from Luis Gerardo González García in the role at the end of July.

Mr Padilla said on taking up the role: “Footwear and leathergoods manufacturers in Mexico have also had to face challenges, but never before have we had to face a challenge like the one confronting us now because of covid-19.”

He said his aim was for CICEG to put in place programmes and projects that would have a direct impact on businesses. “I want these programmes to translate into tangible results for those who are dedicated to transforming themselves,” he added.
