‘Accepted’ Gallery SHOES sees visitor numbers grow
The most recent edition of the Gallery SHOES exhibition, which took place between March 11-13 in Düsseldorf, Germany, closed with around 9,800 professional visitors, slightly more than for its inaugural edition in August 2017.

The event was launched following the demise of established footwear exhibition GDS at the start of 2017. It takes place twice a year at Düsseldorf’s Areal Böhler complex.

Ulrike Kähler, project director of Gallery SHOES and managing director of organiser IGEDO Company, said: “The European footwear industry has shown its acceptance of this new platform and the role that it will play in its future. Gallery SHOES has a solid reputation based on professionalism and expertise.”

March’s Gallery SHOES exhibition welcomed more than 500 brands, which displayed their collections for autumn/winter 2018.

The next edition of the show will take place from September 2-4.
