Brands to flock to Gallery SHOES event

The organisers of Gallery SHOES, a new trade event that has replaced the GDS Footwear exhibition, have announced that 400 brands have already confirmed they will exhibit at the first edition of the show.

It was revealed earlier this year that February’s GDS would be its last. Responsibility for the event was transferred from Messe Düsseldorf to tradeshow organiser the Igedo Company, who came up with the Gallery SHOES concept. It will take place from August 27 to 29 at the Areal Böhler estate, also in Düsseldorf.

Ulrike Kähler, project director of the new show, said that the aim of the first edition is to showcase 500 international brands. She added that 400 labels have already confirmed they will attend. They will be divided into five categories: Premium, Contemporary, Urban, Comfort and Kids.
