Stable visitor numbers for third Gallery SHOES
The organisers of footwear exhibition Gallery SHOES have said the latest edition of the event, which took place from September 2-4 in Düsseldorf, Germany, attracted nearly 10,000 professional visitors.

The majority of the visitors came from within Germany, but 25% travelled from overseas to attend the exhibition, which featured around 350 exhibitors from more than 20 countries.

Ulrike Kähler, project director of Gallery SHOES and managing director of organiser IGEDO Company, said: “We are concluding this edition on a par with the previous edition in March 2018 and are also very satisfied with the positive acceptance of the platform as a comfortable, feel-good location where people enjoy spending time.”

Among the developments for the latest edition of Gallery SHOES was the extension of the ‘Premium’ zone, home to a curated selection of luxury shoe brands. This included the establishment of the new ‘Fashion Lifestyle Corner’, which featured its own catwalk.

Ms Kähler added: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire industry. We achieved something wonderful together last year, all thanks to the industry’s belief in us. With the third edition, we have exceeded a magic threshold for tradeshows. Gallery SHOES hasn’t just crossed this threshold: with a return rate of 98%, we were once again fully booked. That is brilliant and almost unheard-of. And we are working hard to ensure that this continues in the future.”
