Gallery SHOES takes place for second time in Düsseldorf

Brands from 28 different countries, including Australia, Germany, France, the UK, Portugal, Spain and Turkey, registered to attend the event.
As for its inaugural edition in August 2017, the exhibitors have been divided into five segments: premium, contemporary, urban, comfort and kids. As well as shoes, there are also companies presenting a range of accessories, including bags and belts.
The success of the first edition and demand for exhibition space this time has led the event’s organiser, the Igedo Company, to expand several halls at the Areal Böhler complex.
Speaking on the second day of the event, Ulrike Kähler, project director for Gallery SHOES, said it had “started successfully”. She predicted that this second edition of Gallery SHOES will see increased visitor numbers, although this will not be confirmed until after it has finished.
“Let us continue to stand together and work on further establishing and reinforcing Gallery SHOES as a central platform for the European shoe business,” Ms Kähler urged.
