Through its ‘Inside LVMH’ initiative, the group offered a range of activities at 16 of its maisons and at the Fondation Louis Vuitton on the outskirts of Paris. It took place on November 22.
As well as masterclasses with senior executives from LVMH, managers of the participating maisons gave presentations detailing the five sectors of LVMH’s business, including fashion and leathergoods.
The maisons also gave overviews of their respective business models, with footwear brand Berluti’s presentation covering how to build an international brand. LVMH chairman and chief executive Bernard Arnault gave a masterclass at the LVMH headquarters.
The students were selected from 21 partner schools. Applicants had to submit a video outlining their vision of “innovation in the luxury sector”. LVMH selected 220 students to take part in the event from more than 1,000 submissions. It hopes to provide them with the skills and drive for a potential future roll at LVMH.
