The initiative was launched in January and involved nearly 4,500 students from leading universities in six European countries. Its aim was to give the young people enrolled “a deeper understanding of the strategic challenges in luxury”, as well as allowing LVMH to discover a new generation of potential employees.
LVMH invited 200 of the best students to the closing ceremony, which was attended by the group’s chief executive, Bernard Arnault (pictured), and leading figures from a number of its maisons. They were selected following a vote involving professors who were ambassadors for the programme and students in the participating schools. LVMH’s senior management team also had input in this decision.
Of the 50 teams of students present at the event, three winning groups had the opportunity to present their ideas in front of an audience of 300 people. The winning teams were:
1st prize: Institut Français de la Mode – France: Our moments, Luxury Beyond One Lifetime
2nd prize: ESADE Ramon Llull University- Spain: 3D Home Wardrobe
3rd prize: Berluteam (a team of Berluti interns) – France: U-BERLUTI, when luxury walks by your side
