Momad organisers confirm visitor rise
Following the decision to dedicate a hall to footwear brands, organisers of Spanish event Momad Metrópolis have announced visitors to the September edition increased 14% over last year.

More than 17,200 attended the event, which also covered apparel, with organisers declaring the “best result in its history”. Momad is the successor to the Modacalzado footwear show that ran in the city until 2013.

Around 9% were foreign buyers, mainly from Portugal, Italy and France.

Among the 400 footwear companies were Toms, Birkenstock, Bom bom chic, Almatrichi, Grupo Bestseller and Skunkfunk.

The next edition will run between February 5 and 7 in Madrid.
