Budget to bring buyers to Momad Metropolis is doubled

Momad Metropolis, the Madrid-based exhibition that last year inherited the mantle of Modacalzado and Iberpiel as showcase for footwear and leathergoods from, mostly, Spanish brands, has announced an increase in its budget for bringing overseas buyers to the event.

A second edition of the event will take place in the Spanish capital between February 14 and 16 and the organisers have said the overseas buyers programme will have double the budget it had in September 2013. This means more purchasing professionals will be given funding to attend.

Nominations for invited guests will come from exhibitors, but the organisers have already said the emphasis will be on buyers from markets the Spanish footwear and leathergoods sectors have targeted for growth in the next few years. These include eastern European countries, the Middle East, Mexico and Colombia.
