Shoe designer to the stars, Manolo Blahnik, is to enhance his presence in Manhattan by opening a ‘corner’ boutique on the eighth floor of the flagship Saks Fifth Avenue store. The new sales area of around 70 square-metres.

The Spanish designer has worked with Saks on the design of the new boutique and is set to make a guest appearance there in September. The eighth floor at Saks is synonymous with high-end designer footwear.

Manolo Blahnik is well represented in Manhattan because, as well as selling his shoes in Bergdorf Goodman and Barneys, as well as Saks, he has his own store on West Fifty-Fourth Street, five blocks or so along Fifth Avenue. However, both parties have said the new boutique at Saks will carry some exclusive designs.
