Fraudster’s designer shoe collection is auctioned
Hundreds of designer shoes, purses and clothing belonging to a convicted embezzler are currently being auctioned off by the US Marshal’s Service.
Sujata “Sue” Sacheva was convicted of embezzling $34 million from Milwaukee-based company, Koss Corp. She used company funds to pay for thousands of personal property items including fine jewellery, watches, clothing and accessories.
All of her property is now up for auction, including a Judith Leiber clutch handbag, Manolo Blahnik shoes and a designer cocktail dress. Nearly all of the items are new, many with tags.
The property, which includes brands such as Armani, Manolo Blahnik, Brooks Brothers, Chanel, Fendi, Gucci, Donna Karan, LAM and Louis Vuitton, was seized when Sacheva was arrested.
Proceeds from the auction will go into the US Department of Justice Asset Forfeiture fund to compensate victims of the crime. Sachdeva is currently serving 11 years in a federal prison.
