Brazil’s shoe exports fell again in April

10/05/2019
Brazil exported 9.12 million pairs of shoes in April, a fall of 7.6% compared to the number of pairs exported in the same month last year. The value of these exports also fell, by 17.7% to $76.66 million.

This data was compiled and released by Brazilian footwear industry body Abicalçados.

In the first four months of the year, Brazil’s total footwear exports were 44.16 million pairs for a value of $343.8 million. These figures represent a slight decline in value, but an increase of 9.4% in volume.

A strong start to the year has made up for the less impressive performance in March and April.
