The facility was opened on October 25 and will have an initial workforce of 15 people. Eurofins has invested a total of €1.7 million in the site.
It includes state of the art equipment for both chemical and physical testing procedures, including analysis of restricted substance content, and quality control of materials and finished products.
Eurofins has said the new facility will be able to offer test results to clients within three to five working days.
The company chose Elche as the location of its new site as it is Spain’s most important shoe producing region.
