Momad Shoes takes steps to grow visitor numbers

03/05/2017
The organising committee of the Momad Shoes exhibition has agreed to put in place a number of measures to increase the flow of visitors from key market areas ahead of the next edition (September 22-24).

These measures were agreed on at a meeting attended by footwear companies, industry association FICE, regional associations and the Momad management team.

It was agreed that the event needed to become a “major point of reference” for ‘Made in Spain’ footwear. The organisers also intend to plan activities to attract new exhibitors from Italy and Portugal.

Domestically, the committee is targeting an increase in visitors from areas like Catalonia and the Basque Country by offering buyers from these areas incentives. There will be presentations in June in these two regions to explain the special benefits for those attending Momad Shoes.

There are also plans to expand the international buyers’ programme, which has been in operation since the event’s inception, with a special focus on major buyers from the South American market.
