INESCOP event to examine shoes in relation to foot health

‘Innovation and Advanced Technologies at the Service of the Foot Health: prevention, diagnosis, design, footwear, orthotics and materials’, will take place on July 21 and 22.
Alongside the conference, there will be workshops on computer-aided footwear design and related tools.
It is part of a wider initiative, SoHealthy, a European research project on healthy feet. It brings together companies Morocco, Tunisia, Italy, the UK and Spain to research the diabetic foot, the obese foot and the aging foot - problems that can be prevented or treated with improved footwear and insoles. The significant growth in the volumes of each of these three groups creates a compelling market opportunity, say organisers.
