Machinery-maker Lectra will join speakers from testing house SATRA at the first Milan-based Footwear Technology Forum hosted by Delcam CRISPIN.

The October forum will focus on emerging technology that will help companies reduce costs and get new products to market more quickly. Topics will include developments in 3D printing, digital prototyping, sustainability, new materials and manufacturing methods.

Delcam, a UK-based supplier of CADCAM software to the footwear industry, will deliver a keynote on augmented reality, demonstrating the development of its ShoeMirror system (pictured) for footwear simulation.
