Michael Burke to lead LVMH Fashion Group
Former Louis Vuitton chairman and chief executive Michael Burke (pictured) has succeeded Sidney Toledano at LVMH Fashion Group, home to high-end footwear brands including Loewe, Fendi, Givenchy, Celine, Kenzo, Marc Jacobs, Emilio Pucci and Patou.
Mr Burke will take over on February 1, as Mr Toledano steps into the role of adviser to the luxury group’s founder, chairman and chief executive, Bernard Arnault.
“I am a great believer in long-term vision, in craftsmanship, in creativity and in excellence,” Mr Burke said. “These are all ingredients in the recipe I intend to apply with the teams at these Maisons to elevate their desirability and set new records even further.”
