LVMH launches awards programme to recognise Italian craftsmanship

28/02/2023

Luxury group LVMH has launched a new awards programme dedicated to Italian craftmanship; the programme’s name will be ‘Maestri d’Eccellenza’.

LVMH brand Fendi will lead the running of the award in partnership with the representative body of artisan skills in Italy, Confartigianato, and the National Chamber of Italian Fashion.

The group said the awards would raise awareness of “the importance of passing on Italian know-how” and promote training for the talents of tomorrow.

‘Maestri d’Eccellenza’ will have three categories: a master artisan’s award, an emerging artisan’s award, and an innovation award. A prize of €10,000 will be available for each category.

Companies and individuals have until May 14 to apply for one of the awards.
