Online focus ‘the right road’ for Tod’s

The chief executive of Tod’s, Diego Della Valle, has told shareholders that the footwear group’s decision to up its focus on the digital sales channel has been proven to be the correct one.

He said online sales, which now account for 7% of total revenue, are growing at “high double-digit” pace and that the group hopes this can continue in the next few years so that e-commerce becomes an even more important part of the business. 

“Our recipe is known and unchanged. We want to keep our long-standing consumers and attract millennials,” Mr Della Valle explained. “We’ve got to the operational stage on some fronts and this gives us a little more confidence that the road taken is the right one.”
