Russian visitors flocked to February’s Micam fair
The most recent edition of the Micam footwear exhibition, which took place from February 11-14 at the Rho exhibition centre in Milan, attracted more than 44,000 visitors, organiser Assocalzaturifici has announced. This was around the same number as for last February’s edition.

Sixty per cent of the total visitors came from abroad. Russia was the top foreign country, with visitor numbers from this country up 22% compared to the February 2017 edition of the event. There were 7% more visitors from Ukraine, German visitors increased by 9% and the number of French visitors edged up 1%.

The organisers explained that there was a drop in visitor numbers from China and Hong Kong as the exhibition coincided with the Chinese New Year holidays. There were also less visitors from the UK and Spain, as well as from Italy.

The next edition of the Micam exhibition will take place from September 16-19, with the final day overlapping with the start of Milan Fashion Week.
