Assocalzaturifici takes Micam on the road

The next edition of the shoe, which will take place in Milan in September, will coincide with the city’s Fashion Week for the first time.
The first stop on the tour will be Hi Chi Minh, Vietnam on March 10. Assocalzaturifici’s aims to strengthen Micam’s international image and “promote the excellence of Italian footwear all over the world”. After Vietnam, the roadshow will head to Sydney, Australia (March 13) and Shanghai, China (March 16).
“The Micam ‘teasers’ offer an opportunity to present the MICAM to international markets of great importance for our member companies. They also represent the starting point of an international tour that we have been working hard on preparing, promoting the next edition of the MICAM all over the world,” explained Annarita Pilotti, president of Assocalzaturifici.
The organisation said the Far East and Australia are dynamic markets for Italian footwear exports. According to its latest figures, in the first 10 months of 2016, exports to Australia increased 12.6% in value compared to the previous year.
