Clarks takes inspiration from 1883 for shoe design
UK-based footwear company Clarks has taken inspiration from a design dating back to 1883 for its latest product, the Trigenic Flex.

The shoe is based on anatomical last shape has been slimmed down and combined with a three-part decoupled sole to support each stage of impact, deconstructed uppers crafted from premium leather panels, cut for optimum comfort.

Senior designer Prad Indrakumar said: “We started by looking at the Clarks ‘Hygienic’ collection of 1883. This was a collection that allowed space for the toes of your foot to move as you walked - revolutionary for its time. We looked at how we could bring this into a modern context.”
