Lloyd Shoes eyes international growth with new ownership

Founded in 1888, Lloyd sells its collections in 48 countries at around 2,800 points of sale. It also sells leather jackets, bags and belts to match the shoe collections. The company employs over 1,500 people including almost 500 in Germany. In 2020, it closed of one of its German factories.
Andreas Schaller, managing director of Lloyd Shoes, said: "We have been growing nicely over the last years. Now, together with Arklyz and its expertise, we can further strengthen our omnichannel strategy and expand in the international markets."
Arklyz was founded in 2018 and owns The Athlete's Foot, Asphaltgold, Intersocks and several global licenses or wholesale distribution with retail for brands including Salomon, Head, Crocs, Nordica and Adidas.
