FDRA announces leadership changes

Industry body the Footwear Distributors and Retailers of America (FDRA) has named Jennifer Bendall, formerly vice-president of government and public affairs at Nike, to the role of board chair.

President and chief executive at full-service shoemaker BBC International, Josue Solano, will serve as vice-chairman, whereas chief sourcing officer at footwear group Caleres, Dan Friedman, will become treasurer.

Ms Bendall takes up her post in place of chief executive and vice-chairman at US retailer Shoe Carnival, Clifton Sifford, who had held the position since 2021. “I have full confidence that Jennifer’s exceptional leadership skills and dedication to our industry will propel the organisation to new heights,” Mr Clifford said of his departure.
