Parent group Nike has announced a new chief executive for the Converse footwear brand.

Converse’s current chief executive, Scott Uzzell, is to become general manager for Nike in North America, with Jared Carver succeeding him in the lead role at Converse with effect from June 1.

For the last four years, Jared Carver has been general manager of Converse in North America. In this role, Nike said he had “unlocked strong growth in the brand’s largest geography”.
