As well as naming Jared Carver chief executive of its Converse brand, while Scott Uzzell transitions to general manager of Nike, Inc, in North America, the athletic footwear group has made further senior leadership changes.

Current consumer and marketplace president, Heidi O’Neill, a 24-year veteran of the company, will step into the role of consumer, product and brand president, it said, whereas Jordan Brand president, Craig Williams, will take up the post of president, geographies and marketplace for Nike, Inc. Sarah Mensah will replace Mr Williams.

Matthew Friend’s remit, meanwhile, will expand beyond executive vice-president and chief financial officer to procurement, global places and services, and demand and supply management. Chief operating officer, Andy Campion, will pivot to managing director, strategic business ventures.

The company's consumer creation president, Michael Spillane, will retire after 16 years with the business.

“We’re driving even greater focus and integration across our business and teams through these changes," commented president and chief executive, John Donahoe. “These shifts will allow us to streamline our focus across product, brand storytelling and marketplace, mining deep consumer insights to deliver breakthrough innovation and engagement while building long-term growth and profitability.”
