Xtep Kids using AI to improve sports shoes
The childrenswear business of Hong Kong-based sports brand Xtep, Xtep Kids, has partnered with a technology company in Xiamen, Fujian province, as part of its plans to advance the development of sports shoes designed for school-age children, local media have reported.
Both parties will work to gather and analyse “more accurate and scientific” footwear data for the target age range, employing algorithmic artificial intelligence (AI) to improve products and ultimately move the category forward, they said.
It is also hoped that the collaboration will help support children’s health and well-being, plus contribute to “the growth of children’s sports” across the board.
The brand entered into the new strategic cooperation agreement on April 14.
