Senior appointment at Hotter as it hits fundraising milestone
Comfort footwear brand Hotter has raised £200,000 for Marie Curie since 2018 and is launching a limited-edition design to support the charity further.
The funds have been generated by the sale of limited-edition daffodil footwear designs, with a new style created by the Hotter team every season.
This fundraising milestone is equivalent to 10,000 hours of expert care from a Marie Curie Nurse to support someone living with a terminal illness.
This year’s limited-edition design, Tara (pictured), is a slip-on canvas shoe with a daffodil print. For every pair sold, Hotter will pay £10 to Marie Curie.
Hotter staff have also organised several fundraising activities, including ‘workout-athons’, treks and bake sales.
Ian Watson, CEO at Unbound, the parent group of Hotter, said: “We’re really proud to hit this milestone, which has been possible thanks to Hotter’s fantastic teams always going the extra mile to support this cause wholeheartedly."
The Unbound group has also announced the appointment of Sarah Davies as chief product officer. She will oversee strategy and product development at Hotter, as well as lead on the development of Unbound’s clothing lines. She previously held buying roles at retailers Marks & Spencer and Arcadia.
The private equity owner of Hotter is preparing to grow the company beyond footwear, after creating a separate parent company for its other brands, then listing on London’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) at the start of February.
