Tata International hosts Hotter at Dewas tannery

A senior team from UK-based footwear brand Hotter was a recent visitor to the Tata International tannery at Dewas in Madhya Pradesh, India.

Led by chief operating officer, Robert Perkins, the Hotter team was able to review various environmental programmes at the leather manufacturing facility, including water recycling, chrome recovery, solar energy and the reuse of sludge and shavings. The Tata International tannery was the first in India to be awarded gold status by the Leather Working Group and accreditation under ISO 9001 and 14001.

Hotter’s policy is to source materials only from suppliers whose factories its senior managers have visited in person.
