Waalwijk to have new shoe museum

16/11/2021
The famous Dutch leather- and footwear-producing city of Waalwijk is to relaunch its shoe museum in 2022.

In April, a new cluster called the Schoenenkwartier will open to the public. It will occupy the west wing of the nationally listed Kropholler complex on the town’s Langstraat.

There will be three components to Schoenenkwartier: a laboratory, a knowledge centre and a new shoe museum.

Waalwijk’s previous shoe museum was founded in 1954 but closed its doors to the public in 2017.
