06/01/2017
Footwear research and education institute SLEM is preparing a new event in its seminar series, with this one taking place in Waalwijk, the Netherlands on April 20 and 21.

The first day will focus on “smart manufacturing”, which SLEM defines as the ways in which can shoe companies can take existing production methods “to the next level”, making them more local, functional and more equipped to provide customised footwear.

On the second day the focus will be on “disruptive manufacturing”, discussing entirely new methods of footwear manufacturing, from “print farms” to generative design systems and biotechnology solutions.
