Anta x Salehe Bembury collab flies the nest
Anta has collaborated with footwear pioneer Salehe Bembury on a new project fusing “sports vitality and nature”, local media have reported.
The “urban outdoors” collaboration has spawned a style of nest trainers, inspired by the natural world beyond the city. Specifically, Mr Bembury took a photograph he had “accidentally” captured of a young bird breaking free from its shell as the idea’s creative genesis.
Commenting on his inspiration, Mr Bembury said: “The strength of the branch itself is very weak, but the moment it is woven into a nest, it gains infinite power.”
The shoe’s soft mesh fabric is knitted in one piece, to fit ‘naturally’ with the foot, while “360-degree comfortable performance” is ensured by the non-slip rubber outsole.
