The brand launched its new store on the French capital’s famous Champs-Elysées at the start of July. Its design is inspired by the typical Parisian apartment.
JM Weston has now turned its attention to its collections for 2019, with a broader range of women’s shoes top of the agenda. In the past, it has tended to adapt men’s designs, but it now plans to design more feminine footwear from scratch.
“We are adapting, but at the same time we are remaining exactly who we are, a footwear brand historically positioned towards men, which serves a discerning clientele,” said Thierry Oriez, JM Weston’s chief executive.
He added that the company aims to double its production of women’s shoes by 2021. This segment currently makes up around 8% of its business.
