Footwear Friends expects highly contested awards

UK-based charity Footwear Friends has announced details of its annual awards for Rising Stars, which is this year sponsored by companies including Dune, Clarks and Pentland as well as The University of Northampton and the British Footwear Association.

The event will be held at the LICC, St Peter’s Church, Vere Street in London on October 18, with tickets costing £55.

Malcolm Collins, Footwear Friends honorary treasurer, said: “We have had extraordinarily good quality of entries from young designers and entrepreneurs and I think our judging team are going to be hard pushed to make a decision when they meet on September 28.”
