US footwear brand Skechers has unveiled its new UK headquarters in the city of St Albans, approximately an hour north of London. The new building replaces the brand’s former HQ in the nearby town of Potters Bar.

The new facility incorporates offices and nine showrooms for men’s, women’s and children’s ranges. It will provide jobs for around 50 people. Skechers currently employs 400 people across the UK and Ireland.

The opening of the new facility continues Skechers’ increased investment in Europe, having recently expanded its distribution centre in Belgium. Work to redesign its Austrian and Italian showrooms is always underway. They are expected to open later in 2016.
