Swenco to take control of US distribution

Canadian footwear components manufacturer Swenco is to assume responsibility for the distribution of its products in the US.

MEGAComfort International had previously been the exclusive reseller of Swenco’s Steel-Flex product line in the US.

“We are grateful for the relationship we had with MEGAComfort, a name respected in the industrial-safety sector as a developer and supplier of insole products for both comfort and safety,” said Matthew Rowlands, assistant general manager of Swenco.

Swenco plans to increase the size of its own sales force and serve US customers directly in order to be more cost-effective and improve control over its brand when introducing new products.

“We will build a service relationship with US customers that will reflect the dedication to detail and quality we have been putting into our products for 53 years,” Rowlands added.
