Price per pair shows Guanajuato’s shoemakers are making quality products

Figures from industry association CICEG say that footwear manufacturers in Mexico’s Guanajuato state exported 20 million pairs of shoes in 2014 with a total value of $469 million.

CICEG has said this figure represented 82% of all of Mexico’s footwear exports

The association was particularly pleased to have achieved an average price per pair of $23.36, which it said was a sign that the state’s footwear makers were producing high-quality shoes.
