DSW awards $110,000 to employees’ choice of charities
Footwear retailer DSW has donated $75,000 to the US-based National Parkinson Foundation (NPF), which was chosen as part of its Shoe Lovers Care campaign.

More than 320,000 votes were received for eight charities, each nominated by DSW employees.

Katie Back, who chose NPF, said: "My mum was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's last year and my family and I have watched the disease progress both mentally and physically. Her life changed drastically over the last year, so this donation really means a lot to my family."

The other charities will receive $5,000.

Jonica Armstrong, community relations manager at DSW, added: "This campaign allows us to give back to the community in a way that means something to the individuals who work here.”
