Crocs has appointed the former vice-president of US retail for Reebok and Rockport to the same role, after reporting a wide ranging restructuring plan to boost income at the company.

Claire Fahie-Conley will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the retail footprint in North America, based in Boston, and will report directly to Greg Sullivan, general manager for the Americas.

Over the past five years, Ms Fahie-Conley has been responsible for 150 retail stores and helped lead the development of the new Reebok FitHub store concept launched earlier this year.

Mr Sullivan said: "Claire's extensive experience and cultural fit will be an asset to our entire organisation as we align our business for future growth and improved profitability."

Last week the company reported it will close between 75 and 100 stores as part of the new plan.
