Teva launches athlete co-created trail running shoe
Teva, a division of Deckers Brands, has launched Trailpeak, a new trail running shoe developed in collaboration with athletes from its Teva Bureau of Adventure (TBA) programme.
The company said Trailpeak is its first footwear model to be fully co-created with athletes, with ultrarunners Erin Ton and Mike Wardian involved in testing prototypes and providing feedback throughout the development process.
Designed as a lightweight daily trail runner, the shoe features Teva's Hyper-comf+ midsole cushioning, a speedlace fit system, an internal support cage and Spider Rubber Endure outsole technology. According to Teva, more than 25 athletes and testers contributed to the development process, logging around 1,500 miles of testing across mountain ranges in the US, Canada and Peru.
Trailpeak is available in men's and women's sizing and has a recommended retail price of US$160 (€137).
