Skechers Q2 sales beat forecast
Footwear and athletic brand Skechers reported second-quarter fiscal 2025 net sales of $2.44 billion, a 13.1 percent increase from $2.16 billion a year earlier, exceeding analyst expectations.
Wholesale sales rose 15 percent, and direct-to-consumer sales grew 11 percent, aided by a $33.9 million favourable currency impact.
Net earnings increased to $170.5 million, with diluted earnings per share of $1.13, up 21.5 percent from Q2 2024.
The results come as Skechers advances its $9 billion go-private deal with private-equity firm 3G Capital, expected to close in the third quarter. The company will remain headquartered in Manhattan Beach, California, with its current management team in place.
