Mongolian brand debuts cashmere footwear
Mongolian brand Gobi has used its five decades’ experience using the locally sourced cashmere to create its first unisex trainer collection.
The trainers feature a 100% cashmere outer in grey, navy and sand while the inside is lined with wool.
The sole is made using 20% sugarcane with Green EVA, a soft and light rubber-like material, as well as 15% algae sourced from lakes.
Amarsaikhan Baatarsaikhan, managing director at Gobi Cashmere, said: “We brought together the comfort and versatility of trainers with the luxurious touch of cashmere for all to enjoy. With meticulous craftsmanship and commitment to quality, we are proud to present Gobi Cashmere trainers that are as stylish as they are comfortable.”
Gobi partner herders who have been living on the vast Mongolian steppes for thousands of years. They use ancient traditions to comb cashmere fibres carefully from goats.
