Runners test Descente shoe ranges at Seoul fun run
Japanese sports brand Descente counted roughly 1,000 participants in a fun run event it staged at Seoul’s Olympic Park, built to mark the 1988 Summer Olympics, on May 21.
The race, named the Enerzite Descente Relay after the company’s Enerzite range of running shoes, saw teams cover a distance of 24 kilometres in total, completing eight 3-kilometre laps around the 1.45-million-square-metre park’s World Peace Gate monument.
Local media described how the brand had set up various experiential areas, including a zone dedicated to its Enerzite Super V2 footwear model and other running shoes. Runners could trial different styles on sprint or obstacle course tracks, for example, giving them an opportunity to directly experience Descente’s comfort and cushioning innovations.
A company spokesperson told reporters that it will continue to organise what are designed to be stress-free, team minded events that even non-runners can enjoy alongside their family, friends or colleagues.
